General Membership Minutes
Thursday, November 15, 2007 @ Francis Howell High School – 7:00 p.m. (Cafeteria)
Members present included: Jeannette Meinzer, Lisa Norton, Coach Bryan Koch, Dave Prager, Renee’ Prager, Patrick McClanahan, Kelly Cope, Donna Englert, Beth Fauser, Bill Stewart, Laura Hizer, Ken Hizer, Bill Ekiss, Theresa Ekiss

Welcome –Our goal this year was to create a stronger organization, and reestablish bylaws and booster structure. The name of “The 12 tH Man” was adopted for the Francis Howell Football Boosters. Tonight’s purpose is to establish our core officer group to be introduced at the banquet.
Accomplishments - Some of the 12th Man’s tangible accomplishments were:
- New Varsity Uniforms
- Video Equipment
- DVD Tower and Color Printer
- Varsity Team Meals
- Friday morning breakfasts
Some of the non-tangible accomplishments have been creating goals and traditions to make our team stronger such as:
- Organizational structure
- Communication improvements and an updated website
Our freshman team won their conference, and their parents created a bond by having team meals and family events to make the unit stronger and open up lines of communication. Congratulations!
Goals – Some of our goals for next year are:
- Shed for housing football equipment
- Fundraising structure
- Continuing to improve communication and involvement in the football organization. We hope to use the website to maintain booster lists. This would make communication quicker and easier – thank you to the Hizer family for all of their hard work.
- Concessions – we need to establish best practices in on concession area. We recreated the wheel this year and thank you to the Fauser family for taking over the ordering and establishing framework for next year.
Questions / Comments / Concerns from members present:
- Discussed executive committee positions and duties.
- Discussed the ability to co-chair positions or committees.
- Discussed the importance of concession commitment, and the importance of sharing the knowledge among several parents of players in different grade levels.
- Discussed the need to better communicate what is done with the fundraising money. The solution suggested was to add an information page to the website.
Election of Officers – Beth Fauser
The reason for tonight’s meeting is to maintain the structure that we have established by voting in next years officers in order for them to be inducted at the banquet. We used Roberts Rules of Order to nominate, motion, 2nd the motion and vote for officers tonight. The following were elected with a verbal majority:
